Simargl (simargl.net) is a security check service. This host runs our network scans, and nothing else.

Who we scan

Only two kinds of targets: the IP address of a visitor who asked for a check of their own connection on our site, and client addresses we were given written authorization to test. We don't scan ranges or the internet at large.

What the traffic looks like

TCP connections to about 100 common ports, reading the banners services announce (versions, page titles, certificates), and a few UDP probes (DNS, NTP, SNMP, UPnP, mDNS). Web requests carry the User-Agent Simargl scanner (+https://scanner.simargl.net). No passwords are tried and nothing is changed on the scanned system.

Questions, or stop scanning an address

Email security@simargl.net with the source address, time and target. We'll confirm whether the traffic came from us, and add an address you're responsible for to our exclusion list. More at simargl.net/security.

את מי אנחנו סורקים

רק שני סוגים של יעדים: כתובת ה-IP של מבקר שביקש באתר שלנו לבדוק את החיבור שלו עצמו, וכתובות של לקוחות שנתנו לנו הרשאה בכתב לבדוק אותן. איננו סורקים טווחי כתובות או את האינטרנט באופן כללי.

איך נראית התעבורה

חיבורי TCP לכ-100 פורטים נפוצים, קריאת המידע ששירותים מפרסמים על עצמם (גרסאות, כותרות דפים, תעודות), וכמה בדיקות UDP (DNS, NTP, SNMP, UPnP, mDNS). בקשות לאתרים נושאות את ה-User-Agent Simargl scanner (+https://scanner.simargl.net). לא מנסים סיסמאות ולא משנים דבר במערכת הנסרקת.
